10 Feb You’re brushing your teeth wrong
Brushing our teeth is simple, right? But some of us still do it wrong. We’ve listed down these toothbrushing mistakes that you should fix:
You’re using
the wrong toothbrush
Soft-bristled toothbrushes are the safest choice. Hard-bristled ones can damage your gums and protective tooth enamel
You use your toothbrush for too long
You should be changing your toothbrush every 3 months.
You brush too quickly
You should brush your teeth for at least 2 minutes
You go back and forth
Brush your teeth in little circular, up-and-down motions. Doing it wrong can damage your teeth.
You rinse too soon
Wait a few minutes before rinsing. Doing this too soon will wash away the concentrated fluoride in the remaining toothpaste.
February is Oral Health Month. Let’s all remember to practice good oral hygiene to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. #HealthySmiles
