Alecx didn’t just change lanes — she changed the game. 

Once an English teacher shaping minds, Alecx now leads Data Analytics at iCare, transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive smarter healthcare decisions, elevate patient experiences, and future-proof operations.  

Her journey is proof that leadership is not always linear — it’s led by curiosity, shaped by courage, and fueled by the will to create lasting change.  

The Educator’s Edge 

Alecx graduated from the Philippine Normal University with a degree in English Education, where she first learned the power of structured thinking and clear communication. 

She launched her career at Cavite School of St. Mark as a Grade 11 and 12 English Teacher, then served for four more years at Las Piñas City National Senior High School – CAA Campus, where she wore multiple hats: Senior High Teacher, Testing Coordinator, and School Information Committee Coordinator.  

For six years, she taught with purpose — guiding students, managing systems, and cultivating critical thinking. But deep down, she wanted to build something even more scalable. 

So, she retooled. She reskilled. She rewrote her own story. 

 The Leap into Data 

Driven by a passion for continuous learning, Alecx earned a scholarship at the For the Women (FTW) Foundation, completing a rigorous 14-week immersive program in Data Science and executive skills. Her final project, “Detecting Possible Fraud in Health Care Claims,” was awarded Best Capstone —a recognition of both technical rigor and real-world relevance. 

In 2023, Alecx joined iCare as a Data Analyst. Within a year, she was entrusted to lead the function as Head of Data Analytics — a testament to her ability to bridge human understanding with technological innovation.  

The Work That Matters  

At iCare, Alecx brings together precision and purpose. She builds systems that simplify operations, designs dashboards that guide decisions, and extracts insights that improve clinical care, streamline costs, and support the organization’s mission to deliver accessible, people-centered healthcare. 

Her work empowers iCare to do what it does best — deliver affordable, data-driven healthcare that works for businesses, families, and individuals across the Philippines.

Beyond the Numbers 

Outside of iCare, Alecx remains deeply involved with the FTW Foundation, mentoring aspiring women in tech and data. She finds balance in quiet joys — reading, hiking, and sewing — where each stitch reflects the same intentionality she brings to every line of code. 

For two consecutive years, Alecx was honored with iCare’s Service Excellence Award (2023 and 2024), a recognition of her unwavering commitment to excellence, clarity, and impact.
