24 Nov iCare Leaders Honored at Pinnacle Awards 2025 for Making Healthcare Easier for Filipino Families
iCare’s efforts to make healthcare simpler and more dependable for Filipino families took center stage at the Pinnacle Awards 2025.
President and CEO Geronimo V. Francisco and COO/Medical Director Dr. Mark Roland F. Malanay were honored for leading a transformation grounded in real care and everyday member needs.
Francisco was named Transformational Healthcare Leader of the Year, while Dr. Malanay received Outstanding Medical Executive in Health Systems Innovation. These recognitions reflect iCare’s push to address rising medical costs, long processing times and the challenges families face when seeking care.
These awards come during a period of major growth for iCare. From just over 300 employees at the start of 2025, the company has expanded to nearly 1,000 team members, strengthened service operations and widened its network to more than 2,000 hospitals and clinics and 50,000 doctors nationwide.
The Pinnacle Awards add to a series of industry recognitions that highlight iCare’s progress this year:
- Makati Medical Center honored iCare for exceptional performance and record HMO growth.
- AC Health recognized iCare as an Access Champion for expanding nationwide healthcare access.
- Insurance Asia Awards named iCare Brand Transformation of the Year, Philippines.
- Harvard Business School selected iCare as a FIELD Global Capstone Project Partner, reflecting global interest in its service model and digital tools.
As iCare continues strengthening its systems, digital tools and service teams, its leadership remains focused on what matters most: making healthcare easier to reach, easier to understand and easier to say yes to for Filipino families.
“Our mission has always been simple. We want healthcare to be something every Filipino can finally say yes to, accessible, reliable and truly caring,” said Francisco.
