Healthy Ways to Cope with Stress

Feeling stressed, worried, and anxious are natural human responses when we are faced with possible threats or uncertainty. Along with the pressures of adjusting to a new reality, all these added up can take a toll on our mental health. There are simple and healthy ways  to cope during this pandemic. Here are some activities that you may try to incorporate into your routine:

  • Take time to connect with family and friends who you can’t be with at this time 

  • Exercise and get those endorphins going!

  • Make time to unwind. Take deep breaths, stretch, or  meditate

  • Set a time to catch up with the news. Hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can be upsetting

This period has emphasized the importance of prioritizing our health.  And while we make sure that our bodies are as healthy as they can be to prevent contracting the virus, let’s not forget about our mental health too.
