Medical guidelines advise that anyone bitten or scratched by an animal should receive anti-rabies vaccination within 24 to 48 hours.* Prompt action ensures your protection — without the need for hospital emergency room visits.
Under iCare’s Primary Care Model, treatment for animal bites should be sought at accredited outpatient clinics. This ensures you receive timely and appropriate care, without the long waits associated with ER visits.

To ensure fast and reliable care, we’ve partnered with a network of accredited Animal Bite Centers (ABCs) across the country. These facilities are equipped to provide immediate medical attention, including post-exposure prophylaxis and vaccinations, so you can receive the treatment you need with your iCare health plan.
