03 Nov A Partnership Rooted in Compassion and Action: iCare HMO Partners with Healthway Cancer Care and Hair for Hope for a Hair Donation Drive
In line with its mission to enable Filipinos to have better health, iCare goes beyond the ordinary by partnering with Healthway Cancer Care, Hair for Hope, and HEADS by volu-med to champion a more compassionate kind of healthcare.
On October 10, 2025, iCare joined forces with Heads Volu-med, Hair for Hope, and Healthway Cancer Care Hospital for a hair donation program titled “Brave the Cut,” held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the 2F Waiting Area of Healthway Cancer Care Hospital.
The meaningful initiative gathered 43 bags of donated hair, which will be transformed into wigs for individuals experiencing hair loss due to medical conditions or treatments.
Hair loss is one of the most visible side effects of chemotherapy, often resulting in complete baldness. Through Hair for Hope, a well-known charity that provides free wigs for cancer patients, many Filipinos regain not just their hair—but also their confidence.
For us at iCare, better health extends beyond physical well-being. It’s also about the quiet victories: the return of a smile through a simple act of kindness and the courage to move forward with renewed confidence.
According to Alia Dalusung, iCare’s Brand Management Head, healing can begin with even the smallest gesture of giving.
“We’re proud to partner in this Hair Donation Drive, bringing hope to those experiencing hair loss from medical treatments or conditions. Confidence is just as vital as Better Health,” she shared.
“Initiatives like this nurture a culture of healing and health not just through medicine, but through empathy and support that connect communities.”
To Dr. Neslen Guanzon, MD, iCare’s Associate Medical Officer, hair advocacy is about spreading awareness.
“We support this hair advocacy not only to spark hope but also to spread awareness that no one is left behind. It takes a team to journey with the cancer warriors in their happy battle through the selfless decision to make the big chop and to donate beautiful wigs from their hair bundles,” said Guanzon.
iCare has been a steadfast partner of AC Health through its Healthway Medical Network.
In September 2025, iCare received the Access Champion Award from AC Health, a recognition of iCare’s commitment to making quality healthcare more accessible to Filipinos.
Today, iCare stands as the No. 1 HMO in the Philippines in terms of the number of accredited hospitals and clinics, with nearly 2,000 hospitals and clinics and over 50,000 doctors and medical practitioners nationwide.
At iCare, we continue to be part of every meaningful movement. We’re always open to partnerships with brands and organizations that share our passion for better health and creating stories that inspire.
