24 Feb iCare Breaks into Top 4 HMO Rankings in the Philippines, per Insurance Commission Report
The Insurance Commission’s HMO Statistics for the 4th Quarter of 2025, published on February 20, 2026, show that iCare now ranks 4th among HMOs in the Philippines, based on unaudited interim financial statements as of December 31, 2025. While rankings reflect financial strength and operational scale, what matters most to us is what those numbers represent. They represent stronger protection, broader access to care, and a more responsive experience for our members.
Our progress has been steady and built on continuous improvement. iCare ranked 12th in 2018, 10th in 2019, 8th in 2020, 6th from 2021 to 2023, 5th in 2024, and now 4th in 2025. Each step upward reflects better systems and a sharper focus on sustainable health insurance solutions. The Insurance Commission’s broader report highlights that the HMO industry in the Philippines continues to mature, with total healthcare benefits and claims disbursed reaching PHP 74.64 billion in 2025 and total revenues rising significantly. Within this expanding industry, iCare’s advancement signals resilience and long-term stability.
Beyond the rankings, the growth in lives protected tells a more powerful story. In 2021, iCare covered 168,000 lives. By December 29, 2025, that number reached 1.1 million lives nationwide. More Filipinos are choosing structured health insurance as protection against medical inflation and rising hospitalization costs. For families, this means greater peace of mind. For employers, it means financial predictability in an environment where medical expenses can quickly escalate.
At the heart of iCare’s evolution is a culture grounded in Singaporean discipline and efficiency combined with Filipino tender loving care. This approach strengthens underwriting standards, reinforces financial sustainability, and ensures that empathy remains central to service delivery. We believe that being a trusted HMO in the Philippines requires both operational rigor and genuine concern for members’ well-being.
In 2025, we increased our employee workforce by 300 percent to reinforce customer service, claims responsiveness, and partner coordination. Significant investments were made in systems and process improvements to enhance turnaround times, transparency, and overall service reliability. These enhancements are designed to make every hospital visit, clinic consultation, and claims submission smoother and more predictable for our members.
Today, iCare supports leading companies and top employer brands across IT-BPM, BPO, FMCG, hospitality, retail, real estate, and professional services. Whether serving a large enterprise or an SME, we work closely with HR leaders to design affordable and sustainable health insurance programs that operate nationwide. Comprehensive health coverage has become a baseline expectation among employees, and a reliable HMO partner strengthens both retention and productivity.
With a big network of accredited hospital and clinic partners across the Philippines, iCare enables members to access specialists, diagnostics, and preventive care without immediate out of pocket burden. Expanding access to quality health services is central to our mission. Health protection is not only about reimbursement. It is about early detection, proper medical management, and improved outcomes for communities nationwide.
Our commitment to excellence has also been recognized beyond financial statistics. In 2025, iCare was named Brand Transformation of the Year Philippines 2025 by a US-based global brand authority, recognizing the company’s strengthened brand identity. Boston Brand Media reported on iCare’s recognition at the Global Brand Frontier Awards, highlighting its disciplined transformation and market repositioning. Earlier in the year, iCare won at the Insurance Asia Awards 2025, underscoring its role in advancing Philippine healthcare standards.
These recognitions affirm institutional maturity, yet our focus remains clear and member oriented. Every ranking improvement, every investment in systems, and every award ultimately supports one goal. We aim to ensure that when members need care, they are supported by a financially stable, responsive, and trusted HMO.
As the HMO industry in the Philippines continues to strengthen, iCare remains committed to enabling Filipinos to Say Yes to Better Health. For individuals, families, employers, and HR partners nationwide, we will continue working to deliver affordable, reliable, and sustainable health protection built on discipline, empathy, and service excellence.
