June 22, 2026 iCare Joins HIMAP to Strengthen Collaboration in Healthcare and Workforce Wellbeing
iCare has officially joined the Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP), marking a step forward in its engagement with the country’s healthcare information management and healthcare IT-BPM community.
The induction took place on 19 June 2026 during HIMAP’s Q2 General Membership Meeting at Shangri-La at The Fort in Bonifacio Global City. Representing iCare during the induction ceremony were President and Chief Executive Officer Geronimo “Ronnie” Francisco, Chief Operating Officer Dr. Mark Roland F. Malanay, and Chief Growth Officer for MBS Viviene L. Villena.
HIMAP is the country’s leading industry association for healthcare information management services, bringing together organizations that support the continued growth of the Philippines as a global destination for healthcare IT-enabled services.
iCare’s membership reflects the increasing convergence of healthcare, technology, and workforce strategy. As employers continue to navigate medical inflation, evolving employee expectations, and the growing importance of workplace wellbeing, collaboration across the healthcare ecosystem has become increasingly important.
“Joining HIMAP allows us to engage more closely with industry leaders who share a common goal of improving healthcare delivery and workforce wellbeing,” said Francisco. “We look forward to contributing to discussions that will help strengthen employer-sponsored healthcare and improve access to quality care for more Filipinos.”
The Philippine HMO industry continues to play a significant role in expanding access to private healthcare. According to the Insurance Commission, HMOs generated more than PHP101 billion in revenues in 2025 while providing healthcare benefits to millions of members nationwide. At the same time, global studies by Mercer Marsh Benefits and WTW continue to highlight medical inflation as one of the most pressing challenges facing employers.
Against this backdrop, organizations are placing greater emphasis on preventive care, employee wellbeing, digital health, and sustainable healthcare financing. These priorities closely align with HIMAP’s efforts to promote innovation and collaboration across the healthcare information management sector.
For iCare, the membership provides an opportunity to contribute its experience in managed healthcare while working alongside healthcare providers, technology organizations, and industry stakeholders to support better health outcomes for Filipino employees and employers.
As healthcare and the future of work become increasingly interconnected, partnerships across industries will play an important role in building a more accessible, resilient, and sustainable healthcare ecosystem in the Philippines.
