With everyone practicing the proper precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, disinfectants are being used now more than ever. But aside from using them, knowing how to properly handle these disinfectants are also important as it could affect our health as well.
Put On Your Gloves
Wear the right gloves when handling disinfectants. they can irritate, or even burn your skin.
Proper Preparation
Prepare your cleaning solution in a well-ventilated area. they can give off chlorine gas, which can cause coughing and breathing problems.
Know What to Use Them On
Pure bleach can only be used when cleaning your toilet. do not use them to disinfect cooking ware and plates for it can harm your health.
The Department of Health has released an advisory on the proper cleaning solution mix that you can use for your homes:
Regularly disinfect the high-touch surfaces and items in your homes. These include: Door handles, tables, chairs, handrails, kitchen and bathroom surfaces, faucets, toilets, light switches, cellphones, computers, tablets, keyboards, remote controls, game controllers and even your kid’s favorite toys.
